Alexander Vicente is a modern media artist, video engineer, painter, and director from Los Angeles, California. 

 

Growing up learning to use a film camera with his father, then drawing, painting, designing tattoos, t-shirt graphics, murals, and surf board graphics were all a part of establishing a practice to explore the power of imagery to communicate thought and emotion.

His digital media career began at California Lutheran University in 2012 where Alex found colleagues, inspiration, and tools.  Growing through work as a freelance designer, VJ, video engineer, media server and lighting programmer. 

 

Alex began VJ-ing, performing live improvised visuals for DJs and bands, around the world in 2015 at festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival and others worldwide with DJs such as Kaskade.

This experience of creating visuals to amplify the emotion and effect of live music inspired a move into stage design, music video direction, and live show direction.

​

In 2020 he made a shift into LED Volumes working with Unreal Engine to create with great teams in real-time.  Alex has designed and built several LED Volumes in the last few years for filming and immersive experiences and continues to explore new possibilities.
